Horse Stories: November, November
Posted: 15 January, 2010
You waited, and now here it is: November, November, the much-awaited new lp from L.A.-based Australian songwriter Toby Burke, aka Horse Stories.
November, November is Toby's first lp in four years, and it's clearly been worth the wait: in a four star review of the record, Uncut compared it to 68'-era Dylan, calling the record 'very special indeed.' Want to hear the album for yourself? For this week only, you can listen to the whole record on Spinner (just scroll past the soulful pic of Jeff Bridges –– we're not exactly sure what he's doing there.) To grab a copy of November, November, head on over to itunes. Or, if you like the old warmth of vinyl, you can get a wax copy through Toby's site (which also includes a CD and various other goodies.)
Check out the great video for Hummingbird (We'll Be Okay), one of the standout tracks from November, November, below.
